If We Were Having Coffee… | Vol. 23

if-we-were-having-coffee-new

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve now been on holiday for two entire weeks. It’s actually quite crazy how fast it’s going. Did you read my Hilary Term reflection post? Have I done nearly as much work as I should have done? No way in hell. I have three full days free before I go away and then a week once I’m back so it’s truly time to start pulling my socks up for the exams I have once I’m back!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m going to CHINA next Thursday and I am so, so, so excited ahhhh! I’m going for an entire twelve days and it’s going to be incredible. We’re going to Shanghai for six(?) days and then visiting the hometown I’m originally  from. It’ll be a personal trip for me (you can read why here). If you’re ready for some cool travel shots of China, be sure to follow my instagram account!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’ve been seriously productive with my procrastination time by editing all of the remaining vlog footage from term and scheduling it for while I’m away in China. Call me organised, hey? 😉 Head over to my YouTube channel to watch some of the fun episodes of Oxford life.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I was lucky enough to attend the Law Society Ball in the last week of term. It was held at the Roman Baths and was just amazing. I loved every second of it and had the best time with some of my favourite people. Read more about the ball (with some seriously good photos) here and wait for the vlog to be uploaded on April 6th. Trust me, it’s worth the wait 😉

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I was also warmly invited to Brown’s branch in Oxford to try out their Afternoon Tea. It was certainly a lovely way to end term with two of my best girlfriends and who doesn’t love afternoon tea anyway?! You can read the full post here.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I really want to find the time and make the effort to read more blogs and get to know more bloggers. I feel that with the intensity of an Oxford degree paired with trying to socialise, have a life, write blog posts and run a YouTube channel, time escapes me and I never get round to sitting down and discovering new blogs. Please hit me up with your favourites!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m currently obsessed with The Chainsmoker’s Paris for some reason. It’s quite mellow and actually makes me feel kind of down and yet I can’t stop listening to it at the same time?! I can’t really explain the feeling… it makes me reflect on some sad memories but I love the song and really feel it. Just me?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve only just stumbled across The CW’s Riverdale and I am hooked. How did I only just find out about this TV series now?! I am guilty of binge-watching seven entire episodes in one night and not getting to bed until 3:30am… #noregrets.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that one thing I really miss about Oxford is being within such close proximity to both Leon and Itsu. I live for Itsu‘s half-price sale every evening and jumped at the chance to buy a fair amount of food the other night when I was in central London. And who else loves the breakfast porridges at Leon?!

Have you seen my birthday vlog?

Tell me…

  • Have you got any latest song/TV obsessions?
  • What are your plans for the Easter holidays?

Peace and love,
Viola xo
